THE Vatican is being hauled into the 21st century (The SUN)

THE Vatican is being hauled into the 21st century with the help of iTunes. Italian priest, the Rev Paolo Padrini, and an Italian Web designer have created the iBreviary. The iTunes application allows worshippers to download versions of the Breviary prayer book – in Italian, English, Spanish, French and Latin and, in the near future, Portuguese and German – straight to their phones. Users can also receive the daily Mass and various other prayers. After a free trial period in Italy – in which the iBreviary was downloaded 10,000 times – an official version was released earlier this month, Rev Padrini said.
